Hello,
New install of Bambu Studio on a new computer. Have tried all steps in the wiki, including uninstall, delete all data, and reinstall. Maybe some registry issue? Unsure, but I cannot get my camera to work.
Getting this:
I’m having a little trouble reading the fast changing video, and the pause button just returns it to the start, but…
I think there is, or has been, a conflict between the .dll used by Studio to use the camera and the Microsoft Teams app installed with new Windows installations by default. I don’t
know if there is a fix that allows both to work, but you might try disabling Teams just to see if this is the source of the problem. A Google search for “Bambu Studio Microsoft Teams” should find more information.
Thank you for the reply, however, I don’t have Teams installed. I uninstall all the Windows bloat when I first boot into new OS installs (Teams, OneDrive, Office, etc.). Only thing I leave is calculator and edge.
Here are the errors:
Hitting “Yes” results in:
However, hitting play goes back to the same first error.
I also tried the .reg fix from the wiki, which does not work as well.
The only other thing I can think of that might be related to the error is that the legacy Windows Media Player is needed. I know I had to activate it, but I don’t remember what Studio did before that.
Have you managed to resolve this? I have this happening on 2 computers. I have checked the registry, both have correct entries and BambuSource.dll in the targeted location. However, the error persists. Windows Media Player is installed and working on both computers.
Just as I posted it I stumbled upon a fix. You have to close BambuStudio and delete the contents of “plugins” folder. The next time you launch BambuStudio it will prompt you to install the network plugin. Let it do its thing and the camera works again! It seems that both of my computers had an outdated network plugin, but BambuStudio wouldn’t update it for some reason.
