Cannot Load Filament - "Please Remove Filament...." 0x12FF 8003

I had the same issue but only with a Marbled PLA. Never did figure out why it would not feed. Everything else so far has worked fine. I am thinking it might be how I cut the filament when I opened the spool. I currently have it in the dryer and will recut the end with a razor knife. Scissors seem to leave the end squished out of round sometimes.

Thanks so much. I’m only a couple months into 3D printing and now feel a little more comfortable with my device. There was a bit stuck in the extruder.

Is it normal for the “4 to 1 filament feeder” to have some glue or sticky substance where it pushes in, around that square collar piece? It seems wrong to have any sort of sticky material anywhere near that feeder path. Do I need to clean it off?

My A1 combo, developed a stringy print about a couple weeks into owning, and going through the unclog process. Thanks for the video suggestion! That and a few related ones have been a helpful guide.

Please let me know about the odd glue sticky situation. It is clear, not fully a glue but very sticky.
Appreciated.

Thanks.

Yeah, there’s a spring in there that’s covered generously. Unpleasant on the fingers… It’s normal, at least.
