Seeing this error message every time I try and print in LAN-only mode (using the cloud does not work at all for me anymore – was working perfectly!)
I have had not issues. Have you tried logging out and back into the printer and Studio?
Yes, of course I have.
Edit:
That was unkind and I apologize.
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I have tried that. I have tried everything I can think of. It has only gotten worse since the firmware update. The only way I can print now is to remove the memory card from the printer, walk up two flights of stairs, plug it into the computer, copy the file, remove the card, walk down two flights of stairs… you get where I’m going here.
I’m really not too happy about all this!
I had the same problem twice last week after moving the printer to a new location and shutting my PC down.
First fix was uninstalling studio, then reinstalled it and network driver, recovered for two days.
Second outage was the studio could not find my printer at all, self inflicted I had installed StrongVPN and I think maybe DNS could resolve the printer.
Took out the static DNS went back to Auto and it all bounced back.
I have not tried either of these. Both strike me as extreme but I am running out of options. I have submitted a support ticket. We’ll see what they say. Until then I’ll continue to use the SD card. It’s crazy that I have had to resort to that.
Hope it is fixed soon, keep us updated, all our pain documented here is a fix for someone later down the track.
To remember who, when and where you saw the fix is another story.
A stone in the bush, is your PC setup with Studio running on a wired network connection and your printer on a wireless connection. I have had problems when I attempt to connect my printer to Studio due to me not connecting my PC to the wireless connection too.
Interesting question! Actually, I connect to the network wirelessly and have nothing physically connected to the router. I should perhaps reiterate that all this was working perfectly for the first number of weeks after the printer arrived. It suddenly stopped working, seemingly inexplicably, some days ago.
