Cannot print samples with anything but PLA

I cannot select any material other than PLA to print the samples from the X1C screen, like the Benchy.

It would be helpful to have a profile for samples at least for every type of Bambu Lab original filament.

Anyone know how to print the Benchy from the screen using PETG, PLA-CF (this is provided as a small samples with new machines)

download a benchy from makersworld and set the filament profile to one you wish to use.

That’s not what I am asking for.

I understand what you’re asking, and my answer is that the only way to print the benchy in another filament would be to slice it with that filament in mind.

The files on the sd card are sliced with PLA in mind. You can’t change that from the screen.

Thanks. That’s what I wanted to determine, and make sure that there wasn’t some mystery way to do it.

It would be trivial for BL to add a profile for the tiny sample things for every filament that they make. The screen samples are great showcase for friends who are interested and new to 3D printing.

Also, printing a Benchy from the screen for every new filament is a cheap, easy way to check if the filament is sufficiently dry and make a sample (of materials and colours).

You can download exactly the models including filament profiles and print settings from the bambulab homepage (don’t have it at hand). Then you can just replace the material, slice it and send it to the printer for later printing. Then you can select it from the touchscreen any time you want to print it.
