Cannot read filament info

Any resolutions for this?

Cannot read filament info: the filament is loaded to the tool head, please unload the filament and try again.

@JonRaymond Any ideas on this one?

I haven’t ever seen that popup error. What are you doing in Bambu Studio that is generating it? Are you using an external spool? Have you tired unloading the filament?

From the printer itself or from Bambu Studio if you select one of these buttons you will get the error.

I’m having the same problem today. It followed some pretty awesome clogs in both the AMS hub and the nozzle. (I’ll never use the PLA “Silk” filaments again!)

Anyways, I wonder if you eventually solved this?

Having same issues getting erro from machine also through studio, tried removing all filaments reloading them still does it, it does recognise it if you set it manualy which dont make any since if it cant read it in the first place.

I was able to solve this. I printed a VERY tiny project just to print something. I let it completely finish out. After that, everything was back to normal (all fixed).

Thank you, confirmed running a small print job fixed the issue.

I just bought a X2D and had this error. I had stopped a print as I was using the wrong filament and it hadn’t unloaded the last one I was using. I went to the other filament to unload, then I could read the new on in a different slot. Not sure why it it didn’t unload the other filament after I stopped my print. Maybe a default, but it was only my thrid 3d print ever. Live and learn.
