Hi all, I have my X1C touchscreen not working, therefore I cant send Printer Log to SD card, and even worse, I cant file a support ticket for that issue without attaching that Log. Does anyone know any other way to to retrieve the printer log?
When creating ticket select “Others” as issue type, then it does not ask for log file. Alternatively you can create a blank text file and rename it to 00M00A2C0600000_all_20230000000000_enc.tar and upload that.
Thanks a lot for the clue, mate. Most helpful. I finally filed the ticket.
You can also file a report through Handy and it will tell the printer to send the log. I did this when my screen wasn’t working.
The P1P automatically stores logs on the SD card. I didn’t have to do anything but take the card to my computer. Doesn’t the X1 do that too?
No - the X1 has internal memory. It does have an option on the screen to save the log to SD, but if the screen isn’t working, then doing it through Handy is the only way. (It’s possible Studio will do this too - I haven’t looked.)
I would request a feature that always saves the log to the SD card for just this kind of situation. The SD card is always easily accessible regardless of the status of the printer.
… if an SD card is present, as it is optional on the X1. Maybe an option to automatically copy at end of job (or if canceled). Writing to the SD card can be slow - I don’t know how much data is in a typical log file.
I stuck a SD card in my machine when I 1st got it… and the log is automatically saved to the card. No manual intervention needed.
Now if you never had an SD card in there and only just now put it in - and you need to copy the local file to SD - I can see that will be tough…
Thank you for this info. I hate dealing with the SD card I installed in the printer. Hopefully some day they will give us the ability to pull the printer
logs from Bambu Studio.
Yeah I can’t upload a log so I can’t make a ticket. Not fun
