New issue since the last round of updates;
For some reason the filament screen says “unknown” for slot A2, even though it actually shows Bambu Support for ABS. The filament information is actually there, but there is a question mark on the printer screen and a warning symbol on Bambu Studio on the computer. I tried to ignore it and print anyway, but the software won’t allow it. I have power cycled the printer and all of the AMS units. I have also removed and reinstalled the filament. I have done all of these things multiple times. Has anyone else experienced this or been able to solve it?
Do you have a screenshot of the issues ?
Same issue for me on the H2D with first gen AMS.
I would upload a screenshot, but apparently it’s not allowed.
“An error occurred: Sorry, you can’t embed media items in a post.”
" There are some unknown or uncompatible filaments mapped to generic preset.
Please update Bambu Studio or restart Bambu Studio to check if there is an update to system presets.
- B4(Sup.ABS) The filament model is unknown. Still using the previous filament preset."
Are you able to use that filament?
When I try it won’t let me proceed .
Not as of yet. I haven’t had a chance yet to put any effort into it. Was just trying to start a print on my lunch break and ran into that wall. I hope to play with it some more this eve after work.
The logs for the app have 15,000+ lines similar to:

And that’s just since I put the ABS-S material in this morning… The JSON files for the material seem to be there; I’m not exactly sure what these messages indicate.
I did file a bug report.
Mine all of a sudden seems to be working… \o/
This issue has popped back up. The AMS and printer recognize the filament. The device tab shows the filament (with a strikethrough). When I sync filaments to Studio I get the error and I can’t use my ABS Support. I have uninstalled Studio, including deleting all user data, and re-installed it 4 times now. Nothin is working. I had a model I wanted t print in ABS using this support material. I put in a support ticket and got an auto response saying it would be 2-3 days before I get a reply.
Did you ever get a resolution? I am running into the same issue. Exactly the same issue. Purchased 2 rolls of ABS, and one roll of Sup.ABS, but Bambu Studio is not letting me map the slot the support material is in.
Still awaiting a response on my support ticket. I will update if anything changes.
I never got any replies that made any sense. And then all of a sudden, without me changing anything or installing any updates it started working. \o/
At first, I added “support for ABS” in the “Filaments to use” tool. Still, it didn’t work. Then, I bluntly added all items in the “Filaments to use” tool. Now, I re-synced and the ABS-support filament was recognized immediately.
