Hi all,
I’ve had this problem again where I assign height range modifiers, but the height ranges won’t let me change the filament from default to something else. I tried slicing first and then changing but it didn’t work. This STL is from Hueforge so it has the strange zero height outline. I tried slicing it off, but I still couldn’t change the color.
For that matter, there is no right click menu at all when right clicking on the layers.
IMHO, you should go to Preview to slice it. Then you will be able to change color. All you need to right click the vertical “layer” ruler on the right side of the slicer’s window and choose Change color. It’s the same like in Orca and Prusa slicers. I’m not sitting at my computer right now and I can’t recall the details.
Hello thanks. That is the method that I usually default to, but I am working on a complicated stack at the moment and it would be helpful to use the modifier method. I know that it works in some instances, I just don’t know why sometimes it doesn’t.
Geez. Now I have the opposite problem. I have a plate with several overlapping objects to make one large assembly. The objects were originally different colors, but now I would like to just assign the filament by layer height in the slicer. Now the software will only let me change the colors by object, and I cannot change colors in the slicer.
