Well I just wasted over an hour running back and forth from one end of the house to the other to do my first print on my new X1C. Any pointers besides what the Wiki says on the matter? I have had the printer a few months but just today I was going to try it out. I can’t seem to generate a PIN Code but doing the IP and ACCESS code and serial number does not seem to work although it appears to accept the info without errors. I will likely give up for today and try again tomorrow. I did see an update was available buy I said NO to it but that should not be the issue (I hope). I can’t get it to show in Bambu Studio and I want to use LAN ONLY Mode.
Thanks
This has to do with your wifi router assigns random local IP to the printer each time you power off and on the printer. From your wifi settings, you can reserve specific a local IP for a specific wifi device via MAC address.
I did that with all my connected devices. But once a while the issue would still popup, restart wifi rounter (power off and back on) fixes it. Remember to power down the printer and close Bambu Studio before restart wifi router.
But all my other 4 Bambu Printers use the same WIFI router and they all work fine. I will look into the router settings but I don’t think that’s the problem Thanks for the info though. The router is seen in the settings and I typed in the password and it is connected so it should be good. I copy the IP address into the settings on the Bambu Studio along with the Access code and serial number and it says connecting to printer and something else I can’t read as the window closes too fast. But the printer is not available. I am thinking I have to set this up without LAN ONLY Mode but I originally did that when I first bought it and I updated the firmware and the AMS firmware too. I think Bambu just has to get into your phone and network first before you can then switch to LAN ONLY mode. I had some sinular issues setting up my other printers.
Ok, so I got it working without doing anything except turning LAN ONLY MODE off. So now I am confused. When you switch to LAN MODE it does give a message that says Bambu Handy and Bambu Studio will no work and be disconnected, but I thought they could be enabled after you agree to that message. I currently have firmware version 01.08.02.00 and there is an update available, but is my current version already the so called bad version that restricts some thing like using Orca Slicer and pretty much stuck into having that internet connection and LAN MODE ONLY is useless unless you want to run around with an SD card?
Thanks
Sent my1st print and it says “sending print through cloud service”. Argghh!
So I finally figured it out. It was my 3rd party firewall blocking Bambu Studio from the network. The weird thing is that I have 2 A-1’s and 2 A1-Mini’s running in LAN ONLY mode and was always able to cinnect to them although sometimes I would have to type in the ACCESS Code. What a hassle though…to get a printer working in LAN ONLY MODE.
