The issue eventually went away for me, so i have no solution for you as long as it refers to browser downloads, however like i mention before all you really need to do is use bambu studio, just log in, copy and paste the name of the model, you will need to use ctrl+v because paste doesn’t work, and select download and save.
Lol never knew there was a daily download limit lol Anyone that has the magic number it will let you download per day?
You can see at the amount of tabs i right click and open in new tab a lot
I have been having this issue as well.
I am always logged in.
no VPN (yet).
Out of the US.
I may have an idea of what’s going on, to some extent.
I am one of those who browses, opens a design i like in another tab, goes back after 10-20 minutes of browsing, and then look at the designs i like in more detail.
sure enough, after downloading between 5-9 files like this, I get blocked from any save option. i can’t download, i can’t send to slicer, and can’t look at files.
my block will last an hour, or in todays case, i’m on my second day of being blocked. it’s not even. i’ll get a 2 hour block after being blocked for a day.
I am not a developer, but it would seem that this is specifically implemented to stop repository bots? And if you just look at a page, download the file, use the back button, and search linearly, then this doesn’t impact you.
But for those of us who “work differently” (i see you neuro-Spicy brains), are likely being impacted by an overly broad definition of “bot like behavior”.
in the mean time, i just like the designs i want to download, and download them when the block is lifted…
…
<.> So, did i just create a self-enforcing, bot-like behavior, super cycle?
This always continued to happen to me, but it turns out the actual problem is lot more stupid than an download limit, the issue is in fact due to a bot protection system but in reality what is happening is that for some reason the captcha prompt can’t load in browser windows, at least for me, but it can in Bambu Studio, so the moment you can’t download anymore login into Bambu Studio find the file you want and when you press to open and download the captcha will prompt, after you solve it you can download the file, after this just go back to the browser refresh and you can download again with no problems.
Same thing happens on make online
I couldnt download using CHROME but when changed to EDGE it works
So i went to see if this worked and it does, the captcha pops up and you can download files, but more than that you can download files without even being log in, witch i thought was no longer possible…i am not sure what’s more surprising the fact that it works or the fact that i finally found a use for the spyw… i mean browser.
Thx for posting
Is there any way to see where I am at with my daily download limit? My wife is a bit of a data hoarder so she tends to download everything that looks interesting.
Is there any type of subscription I can get for unlimited or near unlimited downloads?
Nope and nope, unfortunately
There is no need for any of that, the problem isn’t a cap on downloads but the fact that the captcha to prevent bots doesn’t load, you can reset it by either doing 1 download thru bambu studio while log in, where the captcha will prompt and then going back to the browser, or just use EDGE or the bambu studio since those don’t have a problem.
i had the same problem today and came across this thread during my search. i then checked what was different for me than in a standard browser. and i found out that i have stricter privacy settings in firefox. including blocking cookies from third parties or activity tracking and others. when i set this to standard, everything worked as usual again. i was able to download content as a logged-in user again as usual. but since i don’t approve of this, i will continue to use makerworld rather rarely.
thanks – stepping down firefox privacy seems to have helped
In my experience, downloading in Bambu Studio, bypasses the excellent directions and comments from those that have printed that particular model. Downloading from MakerWorld I also Print screen and save as pdf to get all the model info and comments that helps me assemble and print. IMHO, it makes the process easier…and I like easier…
