Can't figure this out, first layer issues, matte pla

Having this issue -->ONLY<-- with Bambu matte PLA. Same printer/plate does not do this with Bambu PLA, Bambu PLA Silk, Bambu PLA Galaxy, etc. I’ve tried it with multiple different prints now.

First layer is garbage, every layer after that is absolutely flawless

This started somewhat recently, thought it was firmware (wasn’t), now thinking it is plate related as I recently switched to Biqu Frostbites (wasn’t occurring with Bambu Textured PEI Plates). Although I don’t know why it would only happen wtih matte PLA…

I’ve tried flow calibrations, increasing first layer temperature, reboots/resets, calibrations, nothing has helped.

From what I’ve been able to find, it may be a Z Offset issue with the first layer?

Perfect print with garbage first layer.
Last picture is the fist layer of a 12 hour print done in Bambu PLA Galaxy and is perfect.
I’ve countless examples of perfect prints with garbage first layers.

Just had a thought, after typing all of that up…

Could it be because I’m using “Cool Plate” as the plate for the Frostbite and the Cool Plate is smooth so the default code isn’t adjusting for texture?

Although I don’t know why that would only cause issues with matte PLA…

Matte is well known for moisture issues. Especially new filament.
If dried and well calibrated, it usually prints very nicely even on 3D Effect sheets although I prefer the smooth PEI with a thin PVA film myself.

I don’t know if there is a compare tool, but if you are selecting different profiles for those filaments and the MATT is having an issue, I would like to see the differences between Matt and say basic.
