Cant get .2 nozzle to work right

I was trying to print some small details for a lightbox for my dad and now my nozzle seems to not allow fillament into it from the extruder with nothing in the nozzle and nothing in the extruder it just skips steps and wont let fillament in even when nozzle is reseated.

Hi,

It is hard to help and makes hypothesis with the shared info.
From the post title I uderstood you are facing issues only with the 0.2mm nozzle correct? Whcih means that if you change to a 0.4mm nozzle the print will be as expected. Am I correct?
Is a complete hotend or just replace the nozzle?
Did you try extruding some filament (without printing) to see if it works?
I suppose that the filament is PLA?
Are you using standarfd slicing settings for the 0.2mm?

It would be easier to help if you can give some further details.

I am using the .2 complete hot end and PLA but when I go to extrude filament manually it skips steps without making it into the nozzle I can tell because it isn’t melting at all when it gets stuck but the extruder is clear and so is the nozzle and yes switching back to a .4 hot end it works perfectly. And yes i am changing nozzle size in the printers maintenance page and in the slicer.

I have never experienced issues with 0.2, 0.4, and 0.6 mm nozzle sizes.
Did you change the printer settings to indicate that the installed nozzle size is 0.2mm?

I assume your are sure it does heat properly (and if not, printer would probably complain). I would try working with the hotend dismounted from the extruder, but wires connected. Heat it and (obviously using a glove) hold it with one hand while just sticking filament into it. It takes a few variables away.

I can stick fillament in and push it through by hand but wont make it to nozzle with it mounted to extruder. Do you think it could be a slight bend in the nozzle that is causing it? I ordered a new hot end and extruder gears because it seems that my extruder gears are also worn while not verry worn it is worn so maybe it is just slipping.

Need to pull feed tube inside thats connected to print head and where the obstruction is

Already did fillament was making it through the extruder but not the nozzle I can tell because the nozzle gets hot but fillament wont melt and it skips steps while in extruder

I would suggest following the procedure from the Wiki: Nozzle/Hotend Unclogging Procedure for X1 | Bambu Lab Wiki

I would love to do that on my .2 but i dont have a small enough pin to go in that hole although i definitely need to do that with my .4 that now has the same issue

I am sorry, but I miss this thread.
Did you solve it?

Yes i did turns out my nozzles both were bent barely but it had a kink in the neck that wouldn’t let fillament through new nozzles and we are back in buisness

Hey yall ive been working on thia issue because i want to print minis, i found that changing the feed ratio to 1.02 with 2mm of retract is working good, currently testing an 8 hour print on .10mm high quality profile from bambu with those filament settings. Ill keep yall updated.
