I’m trying to submit a ticket but it’s telling me to select printer model. There is no selection box anywhere to select a printer model. What gives?
I use this web link.
https://bambulab.com/en-gb/my/support/tickets/create
This shows, four choices.
Select the first one, as shown.
This has the printer drop down displayed to show it works for me.
I am using safari on an iPad.
That’s where I went, after having to use their AI chatbot to get the link. I don’t see any printer model dropdown under the serial number field. Chrome on Windows 11.
That’s strange. I tried both edge and Firefox and same thing.
What got it to work though was clicking on the S/N field. Then my printer popped up then I clicked on that and THEN the other fields showed up. Worked in all 3 browsers.
The S/N was auto-populated, I’m guessing based on my email address?
This problem still exists today. How is anyone getting support?
I clicked the link in the wiki:
If this guide does not solve your problem, please submit a technical ticket ,
…and that gives you a form that is impossible to complete. This is what I see (I redacted SN of course)
I also tried going to the landing page suggested by @MalcTheOracle, and when I click “Printer” like suggested, I get the same form WITHOUT the option to select printer.
I’m using Chrome 143.0.7499.148 (very recent) on MacOS. There’s definitely a problem where this form isn’t offering the printer-selection field, for some users. And he awful thing is we have no way to tell Bambu about it since we can not file a ticket… ![]()
Welcome to the forum!
If you go here:
https://bambulab.com/en-gb/my/support/tickets/create/printer
and click the number that’s showing under “Product SN” does it show you all your printers?
TY @PrinterMcgee
Yeah that worked and I got my ticket filed. And I see above “click on the serial number”.
So I am good… but do you happen to know if Bambu even knows about this issue? This is the wildest UI/UX thing I’ve ever seen… a required field that is hidden, and it only unhides if you click on a pre-populated field (my serial number).
It’s not the end of the world, but when the user’s stuck and needs help, there should be as little as possible in the way, if you know what I mean. Cheers.
THIS RIGHT HERE is the entire problem. It’s a silly design choice IMO
