I’m not attempting to cloud print or connect to printer, I just wanted to open and mess around with stls while I didn’t have internet… used many other slicers offline, but this “Failed to connect to the cloud device service. Please check your network and firewall”. message pops up every 2 seconds, making the software unusable. Checked settings/preferences, didn’t see anything that would help.
In Preferences, try disabling:
- User, Auto sync user presets
- User, Autocheck for system presets updates
- Online, Show online staff-picked models
I’m not certain you need to disable all of these, but they are all items that cause Studio to access online services.
Another option would be to Log Out from the Home page, but you would lose access to your User presets; that may not matter if you are just playing around.
