Hi am in the middle of installing a second printer, I have a X1Carbon and now installing a P1S. The problem is it has the same IP address as the X1Carbon. How do I change that? Thanks!
Go into your router and set static ip address for each printer.

I find your description of the problem to be very unlikely - there were some good suggestions in your Facebook post about it. If both were online at the same time, the only way this could happen is if your router was defective, since it is the router that assigns IP addresses.

Yeah, I would also suggest doing that.
Always great to know that the IP of your printer is xxx.xxx.xxx.010 for example.
The printer itself won’t mind either way, but it’s really easy for you if you have to troubleshoot network issues at some point. 
How do we ask Bambu to allow static ip addresses on their printers. some of us dont always want to us dhcp on it

Why is DHCP a problem? With it you can still assign essentially static IPs even though they are dynamically allocated.
Its not the way Im doing in on the rest of my network, so I guessed Bambu would be able to do it too. Do you know how you put in a request to Bambu to ask for a change, like static IP? Although I seem to be banned from posting anything at all, so I dont know what to do!
if bambu had their way and money wasnt a concern, you’d have a 5g radio in there that is locked to only talk to the bambu cloud. LAN support is like pulling teeth. idk if they’ll spend dev time like that, at all nor quickly. The p1s is one of their oldest, i doubt new features unless they are able to sell you something at the same time too [ex: ams2] All that to say, if you want to move forward, you need a dhcp service, auto pooled or manual both work

Since each printer has a different Wi-Fi interface (card/chip) they will have different/eunique MAC addresses. A reserved IP based on the MAC would prevent use of the same IP for both. Are there any network/LAN devices between the printers and router?
Best way forward is to buy a cheap wifi router 2.4G just to use for 3D printers, then set DHCP with reserved addresses for those specific MACs of your 3D printers
To put it this way, youtubers with millions of followers still failed to tell BBL to do the right thing, then how come you and I can possibly ask BBL to do something for us, the small minority people who is like peck of dust to them.
