I am unable to unclog my hotend so I wanted to swap it against a new one. Unfortunate I am unable to get the “sleeve” that keeps the thermistor in place off the nozzle. Any tricks how to achieve that without destroying the ceramic heater and thermistor?
First time I used a fine nosed pair of plyers and managed to bend it open enough to pull it off. 2nd time I used a thin metal ruler, slid it under the little curved/raised part and just forced it off. It’s pretty scary and scratched my heater piece but otherwise it’s working fine. Subsequent times it’s a lot looser so it was easier.
I really hate this design tbh, it’s not convenient or easy at all, like everyone keeps saying. It was way easier to screw in a new nozzle on my regular machines. Not to mention you need to keep re-applying thermal paste every single time lol
I’ll try your suggestion with the thin metal sheat.
I agree that the it is not the easiest way to change a nozzle. Never had the clogging problems with my Prusa printers.
Thank you very much for your help.
