Confused about spool price vs print profile - 0.20mm Standard @BBL X1C for example.
I would like to change the price of spool, Bambu PLA spool for example in my currency the change applies to printprofile. Am I just thinking wrong?
Not sure what you mean by print profile? You have filaments and their filament profiles have the pricing.
Imporant :- If change a default filament profile and save it, ega Bambu PLA Basic, its going to create a COPY off the fiflament profile.
In my custom filaments, Its already a separate filament profile, so I can saave it over the top of the same name.

OK, it is like that. I was a litle confused about the copy you mentioned.
Thx @DruiD
if you want to change the price “permanently” you can edit the file:
Bambu PLA Basic @base.json
located in: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\BambuStudio\system\BBL\filament\
(for windows of course)
that’s the PLA base file. you can change it for other filament bases as well. Best part is that will change the original so you’ll never a need to change the filament to some (possibly outdated) copy profile. it may get overwritten at some point with an update, but imho that’s better than messing with copy profiles.
Yes, the system profiles will be replaced with every Studio or system presets update.
My stock is purchased at different times, at different prices, so I prefer to record the actual purchase price. Nearly all of my filament profiles have been calibrated or customized in some way, so recording actual price is trivial.
personally i’m more of a casual user, and the default bambu labs PLA profile is set to $25 USD per kg which is a bit ridiculous. If i want to see a more reasonable cost to print value when slicing this is easy for me since i have not found a need to customize bbl profiles as they generally seem to work pretty well
