Hello,
I have the following problem in Bambu Studio:
I can’t change the order of the parts on the printing plate. Normally you can do this by moving them with the mouse in the list of parts.
In my case, the body is highlighted when I click on it and if I then drag it upwards with the mouse, other parts are highlighted, but the selected part is not moved.
I work with MacOs. and have the current version of Bambu Studio
for explanation:
I want to ensure that the print is continued with a specific body after a filament change
The print order of parts can only be adjusted when you have the print sequence “by Object” selected. There isn’t a way to select which part is printed when printing in “by Layer” mode.
Ok, thanks for the answer, I thought it would also work when printing in layers.
Then I guess the only option is to place the parts one after the other in the required order on the building board.
Another option is to switch to “Print by Object”, ignore the spacing errors, order your parts, then change back to “Print by Layer” - and whenever you merge parts they’ll jump back down to the bottom and you have to do it all over again.
I know there is not a technical need for this, but organizational needs are important too - when you have a lot of parts it’s fairly frustrating to hunt specific parts down. And since some of those MUST be in a group for alignment purposes, you can’t simply merge them all into a single group just so you can sort them (unless you start to support sub-groups, which is not the case as I type this). I see no reason why this is disallowed when printing by layer - the UI feature works in print by layer, this is simply a case of an opinion being forced on the user base (e.g. “Why would they need that on print by layer? I wouldn’t need that on print by layer; that doesn’t make sense to ME, so I will not let them do that”).
