Nice… Thanks for that!
I won’t even bother editing the message above, don’t worry. It’s wasting my time, to be honest.
Have a great day Jon
For the record, that seller account is online again with all makerworld models still attached, with all of the “our photos” in those models.
Seems like Vinted does nothing, even after getting the message that they have removed all the listings in that seller account.
Since one of my models is there, and it’s on the exclusive program, i filled a ticket with Makerworld and will see where this will go.
After all, that’s why i got into the program, to be honest.
Unbelievable!
"Thanks for reporting a possibly stolen item on Vinted’s catalogue.
Please explain to us in more detail why you think that the item was stolen and provide us with the officially filed police report.
If you haven’t contacted the police regarding this matter, we encourage you to do so. Please get back to us in the next 24 hours with the information we requested about this situation. Proof that the item is actually stolen will help us investigate your request and remove the listing you reported.
We look forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
Miguel || Vinted
They are most likely talking about stolen as in physically taken from you. That would require a police report. Try clarifying that the files are stolen.
Thank you for taking the time to report content that concerns you. After careful analysis, we have found that as the content you have reported does not breach our community rules, it was not possible to take action against miguelvasconcelos_96 and dimensaocriativa3d.
We rely on our community standards when analysing each report - in this way, each member’s behaviour is assessed against a clear set of rules.
Although we were unable to take action against this member, you can block him so that he is no longer part of your Vinted experience.
Yep, this is a joke. I mean, it must be right?
@MakerWorld Now please use your holy “exclusive program” power and answer to the ticket. Many of us want to see how does this work. It’s only 1400 models being “stolen” from your platform, that we, the users created. Not to mention all the photos also from us, in makerworld. From a single user!
That’s in EU? Copyright lawyers just loooove dealing with usage of photography. Use stolen photo as an advertisement for stolen product? That’s a paddlin’
Also - wouldn’t vinted lose safe harbor protection if they don’t act upon being notified about content that violates law? Also… sorry, but law beats community rules 100% of time.
Correct, that’s EU territory. Vinted takes no part in wanting to ending this. I am not sure why since it’s clearly seen what is happening.
The reports were written with links, images, screenshots of the projects, etc. Even linked makerworld.com for only a few of the models, as an example…
Nope. “Block the user so that you can’t see what is bothering you”
This is one of the worst offender platforms that i ever dealt with. Put a ticket to support with links to those and let’s see how they deal with this “exclusivity” thing. If they ever deal with it, what would not be good since it was something that enticed users to use the exclusive program too.
Oh well…
Now, more than that thieving cockroach, Vinted’s behavior pisses me off even more. Their responses are absolutely ridiculous. “If you don’t like it, just block the guy, and you won’t see that he’s stealing from you anymore.” Which is basically the same as “Close your eyes and bend over.” What kind of support is this, seriously? Are they turning a blind eye because they’re getting a cut of the money, or what?
Makeronline: Download Free 3D Printing Models and Print Now Another account with stolen models. Have a check if yours are on ! I recognise a few
iam one of the persons he is selling stuff and stole my pictures to do it.
for the last 4 days i have been reporting it, with links, pictures, even a picture of their own rules! its says at the rules he need to take his own pictures of the product…
They have already responded that yes, the seller is not following the rules in one of the products i report… but they didnt took it down! i will continue reporting my things and alredy sent a ticket at makerworld with pictures of the answers of vinted.
Since vinted is ignoring the law and their own rules i sent a email to IGAC ( a Portuguese public entity whose main function is the supervision, regulation and inspection of cultural, creative and entertainment activities in Portugal. including Protection of Copyright and Related Rights) . you dont have one in your country?
oh yeah that can be frustrating, i had one of my design stolen and is being sold by someone on a french website similar to etsy, everytime i try to report the listing my IP gets blocked by the website.
but here is a tip you have to be professional when talking with other website support, to get their attention and express the importance of the situation, eventually the website will not be held liable if someone escalated the situation legally, as they can say we did not had sufficient evidence but hey now we can remove the listing and put full liability on the user who put the listing.
now regarding the other comment about you have to know if IGAC support the copyright globally or just locally.
i dont mind he sells my stuff. 99% of my stuff is comercial free. my problem is : he stole and using my pictures.
i was professional and polite with the website for 5 days…5. and always the same answer. got tired, so thats why i went sent all the things to IGAC. IGAC supports portuguese matters.
