Hi, just noticed my AMS 2 Pro is chewing filament up. Is this normal?!
Do you print a lot of multicolor prints? it looks like a lot of grinding, but I dont print that much to compare
I’m used to a gear wear on the filament, but I have never seen the color contamination that you have in your photos. Does it sound like it’s grinding the filament? You may want to clean the AMS and the PTFE tubes to remove the junk that is there. And possible a cold pull on the nozzle.

I see grinding on my filaments during testing when the AMS has a hard time pushing filaments through adapters, filament track switch, longer tubes, small curves. Do you often have warnings on the screen for abnormal feed of filament from AMS?

Not normal at least for me. That amount of “dust” will ruin prints with dark blobs in light bodies.
I’d clean everything - blow the dust out and wipe down the insides of the AMS and your printer if you’re seeing similar “dust” in it. Are you?
You don’t give any other information, though. What kind of filament? What printer model? Assuming Bambu since it’s on Bambu spools but type of filament may be important for others to help. Photos of the full filament feed path would also help. And are prints otherwise printing well? Is there anything non-standard about your setup? Nozzle size properly set, etc?
Grinding implies difficulty feeding. It’s a push-pull system. The AMS pushes and the extruder pulls. Since it’s an AMS2, what operating conditions? Warm filament is softer and I would assume easier to chew up.
