Is there a way of changing the setting so that the colours in the AMS slots match the numbering of the slots as they appear under the Prepare tab in the way they used to in earlier versions? I am dyslexic and this new system is causing me to waste a lot of filament.
I still have not bothered going auth but I can follow your frustration.
So what I am saying is for the older Studio versions and I don’t know if the new ones work the same.
I DON’T assign colours in the AMS unless I really have to.
I specify the filaments in there as required but without setting a colour, this I do in Studio in the prepare tab.
This allows me to just swap rolls of different colour on the go or between prints without having to mess up things and waste time.
For the rolls I keep in the AMS or that are special I assign the same colour in the AMS as I do in the prepare tab.
I can remove slots in the prepare tab, load 3MF files with totally different filaments and a click on sync brings back the correct AMS mapping - if set including the colours.
Your system works fine as long as the colours aren’t similar (like dark blue/purple) so they look much more alike on the screen than they do on the reels, and you can’t see which has actually been assigned in the prepare tab? In the old versions the numbers under the prepare tab and the slots in the AMS were matched, and I’d like the option of selecting that system. I know, from what others have written, that the new system is best for many users, but it doesn’t work for me, and must be very puzzling for new users?
