CHT nozzle

I have a bunch of V2 CHT knockoffs that I’m about to run some tests with on my X1C (and I’ll likely try the dual heater mod in the process :sunglasses:).

I’ve never used a non Bambu printer, so… When I assembled them, I used thermal grease in the nozzles’ threads too. Is that good, bad, or “depends”? I assume they can be harder to change later if the grease turns to cement. Also, with that style hotend, should I torque it until I fart or just casually snug it up? And should I retorque when hot? Or would I just regret that later.

Don’t use thermal grease on the nozzle threads. I would follow the advice usually given for other printers and torque the nozzle when hot untl snug. There is a torque value often recommended, but few people have the tools to do that. I’ll note that my own experiments with CHT nozzles has not gone well, and I went back to stock. I do have a Biqu Revo hotend on preorder, though.
