Clickers? WHY?

Sorry, but I have to ask, as there is now a Clicker Generator on MakerLab.

But, what is the point of Clickers?? I mean they are supposed to be listed as a “fun” item, but call be a boring old f4rt, and a miserable sod, but the only thing I see is an annoying bit of plastic that will drive people nuts, because of the constant “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, see annoying!

Probably people print them as stress relievers, but then end up getting more stressed when someone else has them going “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”. But am I missing the point?? Is there another purpose to them other than been “fun”??? Maybe it is because I haven’t printed any off that I don’t see the benefit to them, if I did, and I started “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, in front of my son (he is 21, but loves this kind of tat) after a few “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click”, “Click” he would tell me to F off, and try to take it off me, and people sell these???

So please tell me WHY???

Let’s start the song…

Tell me why… :musical_notes::musical_notes: :musical_notes: :musical_notes: :musical_notes:…:grin:

Why does anyone enjoy things we don’t, and not enjoy the things we like?

If I were to try and guess the “motivation” behind the enjoyment of any fidget toy, I would say that it has to do with the tactile feel of simple mechanical objects. A clicker adds an auditory element to that. Smack a handful of these fidget elements on a Fisher Price toy and watch a little kid go nuts with it. It seems to be something that is built into us from the very start.

As for the noise, well I guess it is like anything else noisy: be respectful of your neighbours.
