Color code (e.g. RAL) of the grey A1 plastic parts?

Aloha!

I’m pretty new with Bambu and the A1, but a bit of a seasoned maker (seven years’ owner of a TEVO Tarantula, designing mostly in OpenSCAD).

Title says it: I like the design of the A1, as it looks like something right out of a space ship (but more like “2001” and less Alien’s “Nostromo” ). A big part of the appeal is the very light grey color they’re using.

Does anybody know what the exact color tone of those grey plastic parts is? Hey, maybe there is an exact match for a fiament type already out there?

Hello there, there’s already a thread on this topic called Matching filament color for A1.

On that, this seems to be a good choice - not tried it myself.

Sunlu Grey PETG is pretty damn close.

oh! Thanks a lot!!
I’ll head over and have a look

If you could post a picture comparison between the SUNLU and the Bambu, that would be very nice…
Thanks in advance!

Here is a poop bucket I printed when I first got my printer.

That was immediate thought too. and I searched and found a Hal9000 eye print, to make it better

Good News: there’s currently an Amazon Basics filament in just the right color tone available: Amazon Basics Light Grey PLA.

According to a calibrated color reader the color tone of the filament (#C4C7C1) is very close to the original of the Bambu (#C4C3C5).

Bought it yesterday and printed an additional spool holder for the A1:

There are a number of similar discussions about the A1/A1 Mini’s light grey housing colour, so I created a chart to list their colour differences.

If this is the same gray used in the X1C, I’ve matched the color and ordered a batch of matte PLA. It should be in my grubby little hands in about 25 days.
