I was testing out the color mixing feature on my H2D, but the result was nothing like I have seen in photos online.
I am using the CMYK filaments, and I was wondering if anyone knew the right settings to get a super clean color mixing feature, like seen in the H3C launch photos.
Photo? We don’t know what your print is looking like so we can’t tell you what’s wrong.
It depends how thin the bands are when using this method. It only works really well for very specific kinds of prints, and with semi-transparent materials, or in situations where the different color layers are pretty close to the same thickness.
It’s not a great solution.
Just to be clear, it’s not actually mixing filaments but just alternating color layers to achieve a reasonable facsimile (when viewed from the side, at a distance). A “mixed” top/bottom surface can only be achieved, somewhat, with [semi-]translucent filament and thin layers.
And promo photos aren’t always to be taken literally…
