Color stripes in the object after color change (Pla Filament)

Good morning everyone,

Can anyone help me with this problem?

The problem:
Sometimes the object has different colored stripes.
As if there is residual filament in the system, or the colors are mixing…
As if the printer is trailing remnants of the previous filament for a while.
I don’t understand it.

Is there a setting that the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon spits out the new filament longer?
So that there is guaranteed no more color mixing?
I also don’t quite understand how this can happen, since it’s not really color but just colored filament. And if the printer spits out the old filament and pulls in the new one, then there should be no color mixing.

It definitely makes the print look ugly.

Does anyone have this problem too and know advice?

Thank you very much for your help.

I was able to fix that with the amount of flushing volumes at Bambu Studio. Maybe this will help you.

Awesome! :star_struck:
I even didn’t see this button
I will try it immediately.

Thank you.

There’s also something about flushing fill into object, I don’t remember the details but think it’s not a good idea for due to this effect. My Totoro looks like he’s wearing a cummerbund from the black of his claws. You don’t see it in truly opaque filaments, just the slightly translucent like your yellow. My Totoro’s grey does not show the change from white or black, just the white on the torso shows it.
