Coloring entire layer instead of just the area painted

I have a carbon X1 and I used the paint tool, the paint can for more context, to paint some eyes on an object. It shows in the preview as I wanted it to be and I have used this same print in the past with success. Now for some reason it is painting the entire layer that the eyes are in, not just the eyes. I tried it with a print of another object and it is doing the same thing. Does anyone know what may be happening? I did the firmware update right before it started happening but I did reset to factory settings afterward. I am printing in Bambu Matte PLA. Here are photos of the two different objects that have the banding.

Does anyone know what may be happening?

Check your flushing volume as sometimes the multiplier will reset to 0. It should be 1. Without the correct flushing volume the colour will bleed into the rest of the layer. Set it to 1 and then click the “Re-calculate” button.
