Combing Mode

Hello,

is there something like a combing mode from Cura in Bambu Studio?
It means that the nozzle only drives over the printed lines when it does not push out filament
and not the fastest way to the next point.
It would be very helpfull to print LW-PLA because the Nozzle drips not so much filament random on the print.

Hello michael1529,

In the menu “Quality” you can activate the option “Avoid crossing wall”.

But avoid crossing wall do the different?
The outer wall looks not nice when i activated it.

The cause for this result is obviously not the motion setting. You should check whether the settings for the material are correct.

Assuming that you a not using Bamboo PLA because it‘s frequently out of stock you have to adapt the settings like temperature and max speed according to your PLA.
I guess it looks like a temperature problem.

Btw. If somebody is wondering why prints with none Bamboo PLA are so much slower, you have to change the preselected type back from Generic to Bamboo. This works fine with a lot of high qualitative PLA as a substitute for Bamboo PLA.

This is LW PLA and it prints fine when i don’t have activated ALC.
I just want that the nozzle don’t leave the path of the printed lines because LW-PLA expands and drips from the nozzle when the head is only moving and not printing, you have to remove the “Hairs” from the print.
With combing mode in cura you don’t have the “hairs”
