This model has a an area that is thin/raised round perimeter. I am having trouble making it look smooth.
First model is Bambu result in slicer, no matter what I try I can’t get it to achieve what Cura does in second photo, which is more efficient handling of that narrow perimeter, instead of applying the monotonic line that it is using for entire surface, which can result in rough surface in areas.
how to achieve what Cura does in second photo. what settings will work.
workaround is to utilize modifier cube to add the concentric pattern for very top surface, it works just fine, but see the slice that is circled, this causes holes In the print.
can you just make those layers with 999 walls or whatever to make them solid or use a wider layer on those layers? Like cut right below the layers go into objects and set the upper part for 999 walls and concentric, lower with your normal infill and the monotonic line
Thanks for your response, yes the concentric top layer works the best but see the concentric top layer in last photo, there is the thin gap (circled) that causes hole/pitting in print. How to get rid of that gap.
Do remember that that the preview on both Cura and Bambu Slicer are only graphical representations.
Cura doesn´t show the start end seam of non wall loops whereas Bambu does that’s why bambu studio shows a very slight gap on the start/end of the loop whereas shows the loop line without gap.
I understand, yes it is showing start and end position. Is there a setting I can enable to compensate for this weakness at this joint? See attached.
(disregard the deformity, I had issue with changing cardboard spool).
I also included some of the Gcode at the start-end point.
