Confused about lube for A1!

So my mini tube of Bambu supplied oil has run out.

Wiki says use WD40 Multi use. Everything I read says do not use this, it’s not a lube and it produces bad prints!

What else can I see to lube the x and y? I’m in UK so the suggestion of superlube isn’t an option! Well it is but extremely expensive!

I’ll keep it short because this topic has been discussed so many times before:

  • WD-40 is the name of the company; what matters is what the product is called.
  • WD40 Multi-Use is fine.
  • Other WD-40 products not.
  • When someone says you shouldn’t use WD-40, they mean the other products.

Here’s an example: It’s all “WD-40.” The important thing is the name that comes after:

Edit: And in case the question arises: YES, we would all have been happy if they had numbered the various products consecutively, such as WD-41, WD-42, etc., to simplify the discussion.

You can buy the genuine oil from Bambu here in the UK.

A product I’d consider is Atkinson’s Premium Synthetic oil which seems very similar to the Superlube product, but is made in the UK and gets good reviews.

Thanks. These were the sorts of suggestions I’d hope to find. I don’t mind buying the genuine one but I’m guessing there are better cheaper alternatives that’s all!

Thanks for the reply.

I understand where you’re coming from it just seems there is a large anti wd40 crew and I just didnt want anything to cause issues with my machine if I could help it!
