If you have only the one AMS 2 connected to the back of the H2S, is it possible to connect an external spool to the other AMS port? I don’t have an H2D, but looks like it has only one AMS input, but it appears there are two AMS outlets on the back of the H2S. Just seems like it would be easier than removing the AMS 2 tube and inserting the external spools tube, which I have done, and it works. I haven’t found anything in the wiki one way or another.
no, that does not work, as the h2s is only a single toolhead printer, it is just a leftover from the h2d
you can buy the 4-in-1 ptfe adapter connect it to 1)AMS 2)external spool. Then you don’t need to switch the tube every time.

Does this allow you to still use the AMS when you use the external? I am confused on how the AMS would feed through the PTFE splitter. Still very much a noob here.
yes it does, the splitter just combines the feed (s) from the ams and the external spool.
