I always followed the print on the printer through the camera, so I never needed an extra light source. It is also much easier to see which color is on the print from AMS.

lol why some people are wanting to mess with the green panels (why did you buy the laser and not the combo :thinking: ) i actually ordered the safety glasses as well - green on green hahah, my eyesight is already poor i don’t need it worst

Just a note re glasses: 200 to 450 nm OD5. The 10W/40W blue diodes here are 455±5nm. I’d highly recommend not relying on those glasses at all until we get that sorted.

What do you want to get ‘sorted’?

The door keeps stray light from the laser so you don’t have to wear glasses when you’re in the same room. Thats it.

Your callout perplexes me. Multiple mention of the glasses as either primary or backup safety item in this thread. I post the spec mismatch. Are you being adversarial for the sake of being?

Why so aggressive?
Perhaps you could look into how such protection windows work and how they need to be specified.
Hint: If you think that you have found a security gap because of the 5nm deviation, I have to disappoint you. This is not how protective windows work. By the way, you don’t fire the laser directly through it

Bruh did you not read the thread? :joy::joy::joy::joy:. He literally isn’t talking about the glass, he is talking about the GLASSES Bambu sells, since some people in this thread were stating they would remove the green door, put on a glass one, and use the glasses.

I do applaud you at doubling down on your ignorance.

It is totally dumb to buy a printer combo and have to be fooling around swapping the glass!
After all of the messing around doing this it would be wiser to just have a dedicated laser!

@JonRaymond can we lock this topic now? The question was asked and answered. Being able to swap the doors is a feature that includes protections to keep you from firing the laser without them properly in place, and users can switch to glass and not be able to use the laser until swapping back. Case closed. I wish I could delete this whole thread, people are ridiculous fighting with boogeymen.
