I keep getting these errors on one of my X1C’s. Something is wrong I just don’t know how to fix it. My other X1C’s do not have these issues. This is preventing from even starting prints, sometimes I have to power cycle the printer, restart print and repeat multiple times for it to finally start a print. Suggestions on how to fix this please?
Hi,
I had this at some point.
I totally cleaned the printer with a vaccum cleaner, and cleaned/regreased the Z axes.
I also cleaned plate and recentered it a bit more carefully.
This cleared my issue, I hope this is the only thing needed for you.
I have not thoroughly cleaned the printer but it is very clean already. It is only a few weeks old and has been doing this since new, sometimes I can do many prints in a row without it barking (well always has some sort of warning but would still print) and other times it will just constantly throw errors and not print at all. I have repositioned the plate and cleaned it several times, swapped plates as well, new hotend assembly too. I think there is just something wrong with it, just don’t know what. My other 2 X1C’s do not have these issues. I have 2 more on the way as well and 2 more on top of that preordered, I hope they are fine!
Ohh get this alot too, just came up
Hi,
Whenever the sensor error shows, is it always sensor 2? Or does it vary? Maybe one of the sensors is faulty or one of the wires/contacts are intermittent?
Is the Z-motion smooth or does it stutter? You can try to move the bed all the way up and down by hand (with the machine off) and feel if the screws rotate smoothly.
Maybe there is some stutter in the movement which could trigger false positives in the sensor.
Your best bet is probably to open a support ticket if you haven’t already. This seems like a hardware issue.
I can’t say it’s always sensor 2 but that is the only one that I recall seeing over and over though. I just tried moving the bed by hand by twisting the lead screws, I was able to move it but it was quite hard to twist overall. My other printers are in the middle of a print now so was not able to compare. I opened a ticket with support last night, waiting to hear back… hopefully can get it sorted out soon. As of now the printer is not usable, I tried for several hours last night to get a print going but would fail every time so gave up.
I had this when my printer was new(although after a few attempts it would print). I also noticed the bed was constantly moving up and down as the print head moved to the back corner more than expected for MBLeveling. I did the manual bed leveling adjustment(Manual Bed Leveling / Manual Bed Tramming | Bambu Lab Wiki) and not had an error again. The adjustment is very simple and will be familiar to most.
I just tried this and its printing! I won’t know if that was it for sure until I do a bunch of prints without issue but awesome, thank you!! I did notice while it was doing the bed leveling the X axis carbon rod/carriage was chattering when it moved fast. Other than wiping the carbon rod to clean it is there any other maintenance that needs to be done?
Apart from wiping the rails and cleaning and greasing the leadscrews, just some general items to clean and consumables to replace. The details of periodic maintenance are here: Bambu Lab X1 Maintenance Recommendation | Bambu Lab Wiki
If you submit a trouble ticket, the first thing customer support will suggest is a manual bed leveling, so try that first.
Manual leveling will probably fix the problem.
Manual leveling gets the plane of the bed roughly parallel to the plane of nozzle travel. The automatic leveling can then correct for minor variations. It is likely that your bed is too un-level for the automatic level to compensate.
So after doing the Manuel bed leveling the auto bed libeling will probably work again ? And no the support client tell me a lot of crazy thing to do like this
Like a got this printer just 2 day ago and it’s already starting to be this complicate I was with creality before and that was the worst experience ever so I decide to switch for bambu lab but this happen
I had this error too. In my case the cables at the rear z-axis were too tight. So when the bed wanted to go to the upper most position, the cables were pulling the back of the bed down a bit which was recorded as external disturbance.
I removed the back plate and gave the cables a bit more slack. After putting the back plate back on the error was gone.
Maybe this helps you too.
Can you show me how to fix this and what the error that give you me it’s this
Mesh bed leveling failed.[013256] and some orther mesh bed leveling failed with different number
Sorry to bother you a really need you help I try to do the manual bed leveling because my printer is not capable to do the automatic bed leveling anymore btw I got the printer just for 4 day and it’s brand new so the printer don’t stop to showing me this error
So I thought Maybe doing the manual bed leveling procedure will work but no Everytime I finish it and re click on the manual bed leveling h code to check if it’s still okay it’s not like it’s look like before I do it for the first time after completely good calibrate when I re start the manual bed leveling procedure it’s like I have do nothing and go back to not be correctly calibrate a don’t khow what to do is it normal ? Like when I finish it it’s good calibrate and when I re do it 2 min later it’s no longer calibrate ? Please reply to me
Most common cause of these sorts of errors is the cable running from the bed to the board. As mentioned about. If you check the cable routing and ensure it’s not getting moved as the bed travels a lot of errors go away. Nero3D made a video about it.
Do you think is because of that that my manual bed leveling won’t stay calibrate
