This is an older thread but I’m having this issue. I’m only on second print - unpacked the box yesterday. Fed fine for about 2 hours and then is error. I verified no blockages. If I pull the feeder tube out of the extruder, filament advances fine. I moved the AMS feeder closer and it’s at a fine angle. It’s stopped about 5 times in last 30 minutes for the same issue. Any other help?
I solved my issue, but unfortunately, I never fully understood how, so I’ll give you a few to try. Hopefully, this helps you and others:
The issue was more frequent with some filaments. I found that the issue was quite common when using Bambu Mate PLA.
Try different filaments on the same feeding unit and the same filament on a different unit. That should help you to isolate the issue.
Ensure that the PTFE tubes’ ends are correctly cut (completely perpendicular) and positioned.
I believe that the last action I took that finally made the issue disappear was to disconnect and reconnect all the PTFE tubes from the hub, and also cut a few millimeters from the end of the tubes, ensuring that the tubes are fully perpendicular and no sign of wear and tear on the tubes’ ends: A1 series Printer PTFE Tube Removal | Bambu Lab Wiki
I’ve had my Bambu Lab A1 for a few days, and just got the AMS lite hooked up yesterday. It was working fine without the AMS, but last night the printer stopped several times with PLA Matte feeding from the AMS - due to the same error code. At first I thought it was because the spool kept getting tangled, creating too much resistance. I still think this is part of the issue, but that shouldn’t be enough resistance to stop the machine completely.
That being said, I think I fixed it… Pretty sure I had the AMS too close to the printer, making the angle to tight for the routing through the PTFE tube. I just moved the AMS further away, which doesnt cause the tubes to bend so much. Its working fine now, so I think that little bit of extra friction makes the difference. Matte PLA might have more friction to the PTFE tube than other materials
I’ve just got my A1 with AMS and I’m having the same issue with Bambu PLA feeding from bay 4 on the AMS (into the top right feeder on the head), all of the others feed fine.
Watching the feed as the AMS tries, it’s the last few mm just before the tube goes into the head. If I hold the tubes more upright so that they feed more vertically directly into the head, it feeds fine, but every time I’m not there to hold it up, that one single PTFE tube won’t feed that last few mm.
This is the first print I’ve tried with multiple colors, but sitting watching it tonight, the other 3 spools feed perfectly, it’s just the filament feeding into head on the printer itself
I disconnected the tubes and made sure they were clean cut and had no debris, and switched over the feeds for the top right and bottom right feeds, and that same one stopped feeding into the head.

I was wondering if it there is anything that can support the tubes feeding into the head to prevent the bend?
I started having the issue again after a few months.
I removed all the PTFE tubes from both the Hub and the AMS, and noticed that the ends looked torn.
