Continual use of Hardened Steel Extruder

I’ve purchased the Hardened Steel Extruder Unit and a Hardened Steel Hot End with my new X1. I’ve been printing PLA and PETG with the stock hot end it came with and had no problems. I’m about to change the extruder for use with the CF filament I have and was wondering why I wouldn’t simply leave it installed for all my printing.

I’m thinking if it’s designed to handle the hard stuff it would certainly stand up well with the softer filaments. So why spend the time switching it back and forth? Your thoughts?

What’s making you think you need to switch back and forth?

No need to keep switching. The XIC comes with the hardened nozzle and extruder gear as standard, for use with all filaments.
