Continue printing after power off

Hi. I have a problem with my A1 printer. when there is a power failure, it is unable to resume printing, the initial screen always pops up and the printing seems to be finished. I have the most current firmware, I tried installing an older one in case it was the firmware, but it didn’t help. I made about 10 attempts to turn off the electricity during the test and I was always able to throw away the print, not once did the option to continue pop up. (disconnecting the power from the socket, not with the button on the printer) I don’t know what the support hasn’t helped much yet. could there be something wrong with the printer or the software? I tried printing the poster from different sources (printer, phone app and slicer), thank you in advance for the info and sorry for the translation from the translator

First thing to check is that the function is active.

If that checks out, try doing a back up to the sd card and then formatting it with the printer.

Note that my A1 doesnt always recover either, its like 4 out of 5 times.

If the issue persists try creating a ticket if you haven’t already

yeah i tryed shorting my printer that made it power off during a print and it doesnt resume

Hello have you found out what the problem was and how to fix it im having the same problem

yep; i noticed the same. it just refuses to resume now. dunno why.

After a lengthy discussion with support, they sent me a new motherboard. I replaced it and the problem has been resolved for now.

It’s impossible! I have two Bambu Lab A1 Combos, and this is the second time the power has gone out. When it comes back on, neither printer restarts. The “automatic recovery of lost steps” feature is activated. I don’t understand what’s happening. I don’t think it’s the two boards, as I read in a comment, since the printers are practically new.

Lost step recovery has nothing to do with power loss recovery. Power loss recovery is activated by default and there is no partcular setting in the menu to set it on, it is always on. When power returns, the print should be on pause and a message to offer you to resume the print, you hit play and it will resume. It may take some time depending on the file, the time the printer read the gcode up to the line when the power switched off and resume, some A1 users have waited 30min on a big file between the time they hit play and the print resumes.

I have that too! So far, I haven’t had a power loss when printing. But I have it on just in case.
