I think the specs for the Control board fan on the Bambu Lab Store page seem to be incorrect. It shows a Max Air Flow of 92.56 CFM and a packaging size of 60x60x30, https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/control-board-fan. The wiki says it’s a 4010 axial fan, https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/maintenance/replace-mc-board-fan. Can someone with Bambu Lab confirm and update? Thank you
Saw no one replied so in case you haven’t already found out: The control board fan is definitely 40x10mm, 5v, and PWM (4 wires - Black: 5v, Dk Grey: gnd, White: pwm cntrl, Lt Grey: Tach signal).
No way to verify if the rest of the store listing is inaccurate - it’s likely 4k+ RPM, and if so 3.68 CFM is probably correct, but only Bambu knows for sure.
You can replace it with a Noctua A4x10 (make sure to get the 5v version) but you’ll need to pull the rubber anti-vibration bumpers off it in order to fit it in the stock location, and you’ll need to splice the OEM fans JST 2.0 Ph4 connector on it and wire per the pinout in order to plug it in to the board header.
Hi planetix, I saw that Bambu Lab did update the spec’s on the store site. Thanks for the addiotinal details on the pin out. My fan hasn’t failed but I do have the Noctua 5v PWM fan to replace if it does fail.
The box it comes in is 60x60x30, but the fan itself is 40x40x10
