Cool Plate SuperTack and glue

New to 3d printing, but have an A1 for a year.

The plate page says “SuperTack provides good adhesion without adhesive or frequent cleaning”

But, this link says: “we recommend using the glue stick”

That seems to imply it is too sticky, so we should add glue to make it less sticky? (that seems backwards to me)

Plate page also says “Designed for PLA and PETG”
but other places say do not use for PETG (or other non-PLA)

What about PLA-CF and other PLA variants?

I also got a Smooth PEI plate but not real clear on differences. Was hoping printer was smart enough to account for plate differences.

Things stick to this plate more than they should.

I hate these build plates.

I have one with the bottom layer of support stuck to it from BL PLA Matte.

Nothing will get it off.

I will never use the plates again, they are useless.

I believe the Wiki is referring to the original (now discontinued) Cool Plate, not the SuperTack.

The Wiki page was last updated 05/28/2024, the SuperTack only became available mid-November 2024.
