Cool Plate SuperTack warping

I got the SuperTack plate when it was released and have had issues with it but solved the first layer issue that many people have gotten. I do a first layer flow ratio of 0.81 and it keeps it from having ripples that resemble the loose stone screw problem.

I am still getting mild warping though. I have used a skirt and raised the temp to 55c to help it but it’s still happening. Its not like warping on the Textured plate where the ends pull up and its shrunken in a tiny bit. This is perfectly adhered to the plate when I take it off on the end. Its more like a very mild banana like warp.

Any ideas? On the textured plate someone on the discord server had told me to use a 2 wide 40 high skirt to keep the heat in at the base when printing since the A1 is open air. That helps a lot on the Textured plate from the ends warping up. I added it to this but hasn’t fixed this type of warping.

I have had the same issue with the Cool Plate SuperTack. Out of the box there was no warping, no issues, then it slowly got worse as I used it. Now warping every large print. Since the message was uploaded on April 19, have you had any luck with solving the issue?

Ahh I figured it out! For warping you need higher temps. So 55c for large or long prints like that.

I also found that its useless for PETG. It has to be 70c for the A1 and still isn’t any better for adhesion than the Textured Sheet. So I use it purely for PLA and I mostly print in PLA so it’s great. I have about 1000 hours on it now on side one still and its working great. You just have to figure out the caveats.

There is also an issue with first layer bubbles that highly resemble loose stone screws on the A1 and I found out how to fix that from a Reddit Post, you enable Dev mode then change first layer extrusion to 0.81 and it totally fixes it.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, I’m just about to put another print on, so hopefully the higher temp helps.

did you get this fixed wiht higher temps?
