Cozy Christmas delayed to 11/17

I just noticed that the cozy Christmas contest start date was moved from 11/15 to 11/17. Just FYI. More time to refine our entries I guess!

omg… just WHY >??? like we had time today me and my friend took the night off just to do this and upload them online ?

No idea why but I also have a model I was waiting to upload as well so we’re all in the same boat.

I was just wondering, is it possible to enter 2 contests with the same model?

No it is not possible to do that

I figured… I’ve uploaded the model today, will i be able to join on the 17th though right? it’s not that strict as it used to be looks like

Unless they changed something, the model can’t be published before the contest starts. So you could remove and reupload later if you wanted

I just tried joining the space contest and it prompts me with my last 5 models, the oldest one was uploaded October 30th, weird

Right, the space contest started back on 10/30 so that sounds right. Any model uploaded on or after that date is eligible to enter.

This often occurs when the staff is overloaded.

Geez, it was already late enough. Why is it so hard to just launch the contest already :frowning:

Hi, sorry for the delay. We are having some issues with banner preparation and are seeking for alternative solutions. We will try to solve it and find new materials and get the contest live ASAP. Thank you for understanding!

you would think that but multiple times in during the last contests theyve allowed models that were uploaded a full TWO days before the date to be submitted. Halloween especially had a bunch

So China business hours seem to be over and no contest. I guess they had to delay it again? The contests are usually always up at this time of the day.

yeah who knows - the date is more of a rough target. Based on their comment above about the banner, and looking at their past banners, my guess is they needed extra time to 3d print some stuff to take a picture of. Seems funny to delay an entire contest because of a banner… but :man_shrugging:

I think the delay is due to the excessive number of simultaneous contests, maybe they’re waiting for the board game contest to finish.
