Cracking down, but what determines Allowable models?

You didn’t answer the ‘Why’ question though… You just insulting people cause you are a regular on the forum and you think that that gives you the right…

Doesnt even have to do anything with this forum. It was a general statement that wasnt targeted towards anyone.

Just a personal view.

The people that make that borderline pòrn, I consider degenerate. I find it to be very odd.

Gooners complaining because they can’t upload/download big ol anime cherry blossoms to/from Makerworld.

I mean, hey, if that’s your thing, fine, but it’s not appropriate everywhere. Seriously, and there’s lots of places that wouldn’t be the right sort of place for that content, but why we want to try and force Bambu to, I don’t know. It’s not like you can’t go and find that stuff all over the place elsewhere. Go look at cults3d, they’ve got all the high beams you’d want, I imagine.

They’re selling these printers in Target now. Like you see the packaging and you realize who is being marketed at. I don’t get why people have to be so far up their own rear end entrance to think the world should revolve around them so stringently, that they should be allowed to go and get their soft core corn from anywhere, who cares what anyone thinks! Maybe it’s a horizontally spread neck beard thing, like you think you ARE the gravitational pull of the planet earth. Like be-otch, we ain’t revolving around you, and not everyone wants your gooner material all over the place.

Seriously, when it comes to talking about anime and the girls up stairs, I just don’t think there’s any defense. Any anime I’ve ever seen that featured the twin peaks mountain range, it was obvious that it was there for the pleasure of the male audience and served no other purpose.

I wonder why some users misunderstand the context. Is it done on purpose to provoke, or is it simply due to a lack of language skills?

Above all, certain users with a history of always misinterpreting the context and rarely contribute to solving problems. This includes the fact that comments are no more than one or two sentences long.

And I’m not talking about CincinnatiDesigns, nor Josh-3D - obviously, in case some people don’t get it.

I think the main problem is that, in my opinion:

I enjoy printing erotic figurines, but on cults3D, you mostly have to pay the designer. It’s not uncommon to pay anywhere from $10 to $50 just for the STL file. But why not support a designer by purchasing a file every few months? But let’s get back to the main point.

On MakerWorld, everything is free. This reflects a completely different customer mindset. That’s why some people don’t want to use cults3D, even though it’s the perfect platform for NSFW content, because most of it is pay-per-use.

Consider why some people find it so difficult to use a different site. It’s not possible to generalise, but some people are just plain greedy.

Perhaps we should address the financial aspect, as I don’t believe it has been discussed yet. Money, or pay-per-use, can be a major factor in whether someone uses a website or not. You’ll also need PayPal or a credit card. So the bar is set just a little higher - not much, but a little.

Someone with a mature mindset would simply say, “I’ll pay the €10 for the good work, and that’s that.” They wouldn’t give it a second thought, but for someone else, €10 could mean the world - or, as I said, just greedy.

Perhaps the financial aspect should be mentioned much more in this thread. Then maybe some of those comments will make a lot more sense, and it will become clear why some people don’t want to use cults3d.

Fair enough. I don’t really look for that content, so I’m not really sure where one goes to find it, the cost and stuff. Makes sense though. I mean, I feel traditionally people have charged for figures/sculpts.

Kind of a side quest of a comment as it doesn’t relate directly, but. Haha. Free on Makerworld isn’t really free, is it? It’s subsidized. I guess it does relate though, because people take that heavily for granted. I’m sure there’s some level of content that wouldn’t exist, or would be on a pay to play platform like cults, if Makerworld’s rewards didn’t exist.

I keep buying those 3dsets models! I just can’t afford all the hardware/electronics to put in them now, haha.

I have my own reasons for not liking cults3d, hahahaha. I have bought a few things from there. The sculpt/figure stuff I’ve got was fine, but some of the bigger projects were a lot more hit or miss. The modeling side was usually decent, but models that weren’t designed for 3d printing so are difficult to print, with little to no instructions given, or poorly done instructions.

I lean more towards not wanting to spend money on models. I probably fall more into the needing that 10 bucks than being greedy though. I wouldn’t mind seeing more high quality models that fall within my interest, even if they are charging money.

I produce models for free on Makerworld, but make no mistake… they aren’t free. The points system, the Maker’s supply, it pays for the models, so everyone can have them for “free”

I agree with you completely - for me, the word ‘free’ in my comment refers to the mindset of some customers. They see it as an all-you-can-eat buffet that they don’t have to pay for.

Of course, we know that nothing comes for free, and that a great deal of hard work goes into it. There’s no question about it. However, I was focusing on customers who don’t consider this and assume that anything provided free of charge is guaranteed.

Like I said, it’s like someone who rushes to a free all-you-can-eat buffet and never thinks about why it’s free, but complains about why there are rules.

If a person has and displays such objects, many people will develop an opinion of that person that is less than flattering. Just saying.

Nice to hear from you again. Changing the subject a bit for this post. I really think the the Block feature in this forum should block all posts of that person. Like when you blocked me.. What a rubbish feature it is if it doesn’t..
I just think that you love my posts and unblocked me.. I feel the love.

It’s been said before so nothing new, but children are visitors here. A good friend of mine was showing off what his grandkids were printing with their printer and they are around 10 or so years old.

And it is Bambu’s web presence, not ours. They get to decide what is permissible here and what isn’t. We don’t.

It’s really a waste of time to argue this now especially since MW has stated their policies and started enforcing the rules. Nobody has to like it but It’s hard to imagine complaining is going to change Bambu’s stance on this stuff.

hello, I’ve been a proud maker using my A1 to make many things for the last couple of years, but I’m nervous about the reception of a project I’m currently working on which has a “rude message” on it - the PG version is “Eff this Ess” but completely written out so that from one angle it looks like tire tracks and from another it looks like the wrapped sentence. The intention is that it is a novelty can cozie and I have no intention to share hateful messages or anything like that. it was inspired by a picture of a mug that had a similar message on it and it resonated with me. I’m nearly done with the iterations and homing in on getting ready to make it available….but like I said, I don’t want to break the terms and conditions of the site….

If you’re not sure, add the ‘NSFW’ tag.

Ask yourself: Would you display this in your workplace? No? Tag it as NSFW.

If Bambu does not agree, the consequences are minimal. Most of the time, the model simply won’t appear in the ‘Trends’ section. At worst, it’ll be taken offline, but that’s it. Your account won’t be banned. At least, not in a case like the one you’re describing.

I’d upload it, add the NSFW tag and see what happens, but don’t be disappointed if Bambu doesn’t like it in the end.

On the other hand, if you’re uncomfortable with it, just skip it. Either way, you won’t get many points for it because it’ll be classified as NSFW, and it’s hard to earn points in that category unless you post anime girls.

Read the model submission guidelines, then decide if what you’re planning will fit within the guidelines or not.

From what I see, it’s likely at worst your model gets pulled and you lose any rewards gained from this particular model.

for the late reply. I appreciate the feedback. You’ve been very helpful and I have a good idea of how to approach this for my project.

thanks again.

yeah, I’m on the exclusive program and I don’t want to get any strikes regarding that, so I will play it safe. thanks for the help!
