Crappy PETG quality - little bubbles as opposed to big mistakes

@Rom3oDelta7 I’m gonna just have to agree to disagree. An update, but my print looks fine till it reaches the complex Tree support part. The printing is fine as is as long as it isn’t in the super intricate stage. My MVS setting is set to 10 currently, and I only get crappy quality during the phase of intricate tree supports. Also, it isn’t wet filament, as it only occurs once it gets to the intricate part. It stopped immediately after the supports were done.

Please, feel free to disagree  I never claim to have a definitive solution to problems presented in this forum because there is always incomplete information available. I do this only to share my 10 years of 3D printing experience in the hopes it will help people in their own journeys. If I get it right, terrific, and if not hopefully it helped you get closer to the goal.

IMHO, I still think you may be able to improve your results by printing more slowly. PETG does not print details as well as PLA due to the aforementioned phase transition energy issue. Therefore, you can get results that are OK when constantly extruding, but speed-related problems crop up when you start printing fine details and the extruder has to start and stop a lot more. Printing intricate tree supports could cause this to happen. You might try adding a height modifier for where the problem starts and then reducing the speeds for at least the perimeters. My eSun PETG settings set the outer wall to 80 and the inner wall to 90 (print temp of 253). eSun PETG seems to be prone to this problem so it should be better, but you might need to play with the settings some more to get rid of it.

Hope this helps!

Got my problems ironed out enough so they are sellable, thanks for the help. The reason I don’t think it is speed is because it’s not occurring during the intricate parts, its occurring in the middle of the easy part on the same layer. It just seems to mess up while in the middle of a line.
