For about a month, maybe a bit longer, everytime I launch bambu studio, it attempts to run orcaslicer. I am on a MAC, intel version, so not the newest machine, but for a slicer it has plenty of power to run it. Anyone else have this problem that orca keeps trying to open? It is a pain - still can use either bambu or orca, but over the last week or so, bambu studio keeps crashing and losing my printer list so i have to relogin, usually get a crash report to send to apple and then have to relaunch, relogin and I am able to use, but definitely not so stable of a release for the last 4 to 6 weeks or so.
oof mac. congrats on being the <1%. Imo get a throw away used dell laptop from one of the hundreds of refurbishers on newegg or ebay and slice on a standard device.
If you haven’t already done this, a couple things you can check is for macOS updates, Bambu Studio software and printer firmware updates. I don’t have Orca Slicer, I’m just running the Bambu Studio and while it has crashed on me once or twice since the latest update, it works fine for the most part. If this doesn’t help, you can try deleting the app and re-installing a new downloaded version from the Bambu site. You can also running the First Aid selection in Disk Utility on your hard drive.
What does the long, detailed crash report say?
The crash report shows where and why it is crashing. Without that detail, the developers and other users can only guess at what you’re seeing.
