Creality PLA in new P1S Combo?

Hello all, I’ve recently upgraded to a P1S combo from my Ender 3 Pro. I still have two rolls of Creality PLA that I’d like to use up. I honestly can’t find much information on these rolls - they were purchased in early 2021 and kept sealed until now.

Would it be possible to use it in my P1S? I’m certainly not comfortable pushing it at the speeds my P1S normally prints, so I’m thinking lower speeds/flow rates. Or would it be better to just cut my losses?

Thanks in advance!

You should be able to use them. Start with a generic filament profile, run the manual calibrations and see how it prints. Adjust as necessary.

I’ve picked up quite a few creality white and black PLAs when they go on sale.

No problems, just run as generic PLA.

Thanks for the replies @JonRaymond and @moonrakerone. I just ran through the calibration steps and all seems good, I’ll give some prints a shot and go from there. Nice to see I can use these rolls still!

Cheers!

I too had a whole bunch of Creality PLA prior to my Bambu. I found I can use the Bambu PLA as a base and it print’s fine, and faster than “generic”. But still need to calibrate the Flow Rate and Flow Dynamics.
