Create complete hotend with extra supplies?

I purchased spare parts and extras like the bare 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 hotends and some cables and fans associated with a complete hotend back when I purchased the printer, but have not yet used them.

I was thinking that I could make a bare hotend into a complete hotend by just assembling the pieces on the bare hotend so that replacing the hotends might be faster/less complex for my simple brain.

Has anyone tried this?

What sorts of issues have you experienced or might I need to expect?

Same here. At the time, BL didn’t have all the hot ends in stock, but they had the parts. Just make sure that when you assemble them to include the heat transfer paste for the sensor and the heater. Other than that, simple works. I have all the hot ends (with fans) in a 3D printed box ready to go.

It’s a good idea to keep a roll or two of PTFE tubing on hand as well.

Edit: Added link to box.
