Attempting to add a custom filament (PET-GF). Have latest firmware and latest version of Bambu Studio. Have 2 of the X1C with AMS on my system.
Following the normal process for adding custom filaments, I get to the custom filament window where you define the vendor/type/etc. At the bottom the message says “Can create custom filament for following printers:” but no printers are showing up!
In Studio, each filament preset is tied to a particular printer, but all of your Custom filament presets have to be based on an existing preset, so you must provide the Basic Information first.
Provide a vendor and type, then pick from Create Based on Current Filament or Copy Current.Filament Preset. Then select an existing preset and your available printers should then appear.
The issue is there isn’t an existing preset for PET-GF…so tried PET-CF…which would not allow me to select a printer…not sure why…but once I changed to PETG or PETG-CF…my printers showed up.
I was just trying to get my PET-GF into the AMS but nothing I can do to do that…so running external and seems to work…
This is a pretty convoluted method for custom filaments…
