From reading past posts on this topic it seems that profiles created for the A1 do not automatically show compatibility with the other Bambu printers when uploaded to MakerWorld. Most of those posts are a year old now. Has anything changed? Any workarounds so that my print profiles show up for the other printers?

If it’s sliced for the A1 Mini it should work with all printers. If it doesn’t that’s a bug.
Yes. I don’t have the mini so I sliced and printed on the A1 (not mini).

Yes they added this functionality since those original posts, as long as the print fits within the physical dimensions of the A1 Mini it will show up as supported for the print profile. If you’re trying to fit parts onto a plate it can help to add the A1 Mini in Bambu Studio and switch to that temporarily to arrange everything and then it will keep the position of parts when you swap back to your actual printer. Once you upload the profile and it’s done verifying you can make sure all printers are supported using the filter options on the model page.
I pushed for this change.
If you imagine a cube sitting over your model, as long as that cube will fit in the other printers, your model will be sliced for all printers available.
If you untick any printer choices on the profile page, your profile will not try and auto-check for this.
Example:
You design a cube that is 100x100x100 and your printer is a P1S, you upload the profile and leave all printers ticked.
Your model will now automatically be supported by:
- A1 mini
- A1
- P series
- X series
Before the change, anything targeted to the A1 could only generate an A1 profile.
The forum has information before the envelope change I outlined to BL and as such, it is outdated.

Then I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I opened the 3mf file, swapped to the A1 mini preset, clicked auto arrange to make sure it was in a usable area of the plate, switched back to the A1 preset and saved the file. Reuploaded the file to MakerWorld with all the printers checked and it still only lists the A1.
A1 is special…, save it for A1 Mini / P1S and use center instead of auto arrange.
I tried uploading with the mini presets and it listed the compatible printers as the A1 and the A1 mini only. I then uploaded with the P1S presets and now it list the compatible printers as the P1 and X1 printers and neither of the A1 printers?

The issue is you have enabled “Print by Object”, which is not supported by the solution BL implemented.
Turn it back to Print-by-Layer as there is no benefit to leaving it enabled for a single object.^
One profile will be compatible with all printers.
That is out-of-date information as I stated above.
^ Not strictly true, but, I doubt you are trying to force the timelapse to be disabled.

I made sure that it was set to print by layer from the start. Are you seeing print by object? Am I looking in the wrong place?
I’m not sure where I was looking and seeing print by layer, but when I clicked on the plate in objects it was indeed print by object. Fixed that and uploaded one with the A1 presets and all printers now show up. Thank you for digging into this for me!!

The short answer is multiple profiles.

You create one for the A1 mini, one for the P (or X) series and one optionally for the H2D.

When you upload the A1 mini version, untick all the other printer types on the profile upload page.

When you upload the P (or X) series version, untick all the A1 mini printer types on the profile upload page. If you do step 4, untick the H2D as well.

If you have a different layout for the H2D, untick all other printer types on the profile upload page except the H2D.
When the user chooses your model and goes to print, they select their printer (should have automatically done this), and they will only be shown one profile.
The single profile they are presented with will match their printer.
I hope this makes sense.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Makes sense, but sounds a bit cumbersome and duplicative. So up to three profiles every time someone uploads a model that’s Print By Object? And when Bambu releases another printer it’ll be four profiles for every model? What’s the long answer?

No one said our life is easy. They only said that we would receive complaints from ungrateful users who have not cleaned their build plate and blame us for the print failure!
No real long answer. It requires BL to extend the envelope logic I pushed for to the print-by-object.
There are limitations, though, meaning it would not work in all cases because…
The A-series printers have a much shorter area to play with when print-by-object is in place than the other printers that use the Core XY motion system.
The printable height limit is based on the bottom edge of the x-axis bar for the A-series.
