Cryo grip Frostbite question

I got my frostbit plates in for my H2C and H2S. I went ahead and printed an ABS print on my S, since thats what I use it for. After the print, it was very hard to remove. It was the I noticed the 2 build plates had different labels. The C listed ABS on it, The S plate did not. When I finally got the build off it left marks. Can anyone confirm that the S and C plates are different in material compatibility? I’ve already sent an email to Biqu. Their webpage lists it as ABS compatible.

As far as I’m aware, the Frostbite plates are for PLA and PETG only. Other materials (like ABS) will grip too strongly and damage the surface upon removal. For ABS/ASA you should use the Glacier plates.

I’m guessing they changed the formulation at some point and I got an old plate?

Perhaps. I don’t use the Frostbite (I have Glacier for all my printers) but I have an acquaintance who tore the coating off his Frostbite with a large ABS part.

I would recommend the Glacier. PLA and PETG both adhere well to it and ABS/ASA doesn’t over-adhere.

Im going to see what Biqu CS says. Either way, in my view, it looks like they may owe me a plate based on their website. It did stick REALLY well though.
