Lately, the upper flank of the thread is missing when I print it in a vertical orientation. Strangely enough, other curves and overhangs on the same object – including the lower flank of the thread – are printed perfectly fine. The issue occurs regardless of the filament used.
Slicing seems fine, assuming you have minimally 2 walls.
What is the nozzle diameter, bead width and layer height?
Too hot could give the opposite effect, but this is weird behaviour.
That might actually be a useful tip – I’ll give it a try when I get the chance. Thanks a lot!
In fact, I’ve only been printing with a 0.6 mm nozzle for a few weeks; before that, I always used a 0.4 mm one. By the way, I printed the thread vertically by mistake – printed horizontally, it should have significantly higher tensile strength.
