Current Build plate is not the same in the GCode

New to Bambu Studio, pulled a file down to print from MakerWorld to print.

I change setting to my X1 Carbon, change the build plate to the Cool Plate/PLA plate, run the slicer and hit print.

Next I get the error message below.

The curreent build plate is not the same as in the G-Code. Please stop the print job and replace the build plate. You can also tap “Resume” to force-resume the print job. [0300 8011 10:56:20]

Question I have is how do I tell Studio to use the Cool Plate instead. I would have though I just change it in the Prepare window and the software would automatically change it when it sliced it.

Confused? Thanks for the help

I am seeing some files I pull down from MakerWorld when I pull them down, I change the build plate and it automatically changes to the desired plate I want. Is there a setting in Bambu Studio that locks the plate no matter if you change it in Studio in the prepare tab??

I may not be understanding you correctly, but if you download a file from MakerWorld and it’s a .3mf file, it will likely be for a specific printer, build plate, filament, nozzle diameter, and layer height. You can use what the file specifies as it should be optimized for the model or you can change something like the filament etc, then slice it and send it to the printer.

The print profiles tell you what it’s for before you choose it and if you send it to the printer in Handy app that’s what it’s going to tell the printer. But if you download it instead of printing it, you can make changes.

Since you have an X1, which I don’t, I have a feeling the problem you ran into is that the print profile specified a filament, nozzle, build plate, etc and when the printer went to start printing, it scanned the QR code on the build plate which it then saw it wasn’t what was specified in the file. For most things it won’t matter and will print fine with a different plate so you can ignore it and keep printing or switch it out to what it calls for.

I assume you just got the printer and it might seem a bit confusing now but you will start to get the hang of it the more you use it.

Thanks for advise, actually figured it out after reading your note.
I noticed some thing on the prepare tab, the gear wrench was orange. Not sure of the whole functionality but when I clicked on it and changed the plate type to cold it changed the plate type.

The picture shows how it was selected but when I changed it corrected my issue.
Thanks again
